Power of Prayer

Dear Family and Friends,

My message or blog for today is about prayer. What is prayer?  Prayer is a blessing given to us to communicate with our Heavenly Father. So I lost my scriptures a couple transfers ago and I have been praying that I would be able to get them back. I know that the Lord will provide the way if we want it, like Enos taught, “ And it came to pass that after I had prayed and labored with all diligence, the Lord said unto me: I will grant unto thee according to thy desires, because of thy faith.” Well the other day I  was riding on my bike with my comp, when a member from my first area drives by and stops us. He gets out of the car and hands me my scriptures. He said he found them and decided to take them in case he ran into me. He just moved down to our area.  I know that god answers prayers and he will answer all of ours IF we have FAITH in the Lord Jesus Christ.  He will create and do miracles. I know that this church is true and that it helps us live the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Alofa Atu

Alright.. well I got transferred.. this last week was transfer meeting.. i moved from Papakura.. to Might Mt. Roskill..  I am stoked for my new area.. as well as my new companion.. Elder Mathew.. we are serving in the Samoan ward.. i wish i could send pictures.. but this internet cafe is playing up! its not easy to leave area.. especially when you get used to everyone.. I am on the Lords time.. and that my time in papakura is up! people need me in Mt. Roskill.. It was awesome.. I had an awesome experience my first weekend in the area.. We went to go contact a referral.. It was a family of about 7 people.. 5 baptism age.. We had a chance to teach them.. We taught the first lesson.. it was awesome.. It was about the Restoration.. I know that without the help of the Lord in all that we do.. it wouldn't be possible for us to share what we needed to.. to help this brother feel the spirit.. i know that god prepares people no matter where we are..

A New Year

Dear Family and Friends,

Well.. woohooo! HAPPY NEW YEARS! what a great way to start out the year serving my Heavenly Father!! I know that it is a blessing and opportunity to serve others like King Benjamin said, "When you are in the service of your fellow beings you are only in the service of your God". I hope we can all find the opportunities where ever we may be in our life or at that time and moment.. you never know.. Maybe God needs you to help bless the person that you will that day.  A blessing that I witnessed while out on the mission was, we were teaching a family and as we shared our message we found the opportunity to invite them to church. As we left we knew we did what we could to help this family feel the spirit. Sunday came and to our astonishment their they were, walking through the door. My comp and I stared in awe. WOW.. they made it. From this experience I know that God is there when we need him and that his children, our brothers and sisters need us to help them. So find an opportunity to share the love and spirit through service or and act of kindness to others!

Alofa Atu.. Manuia le Tausaga Fou!
